We’re taking our talents to South Beach

Yep. Lebron did it first and we’re following suit. Not exactly, but I will be in Miami by tomorrow evening.

Illini Life, while a college church, with primarily students, definitely wants to use the resources we have to help and support other ministries. It’s a great chance to communicate that giving is important.

One of these ministries is called Casa Hogar Vida. This is an AIDS clinic and orphanage in Choluteca, Honduras. For the past few years, we have sent missions teams down there to help with their infrastructure, nutrition, and other key ways.

Another is called the Basic Utility Vehicle. These are small carts that are built in Indianapolis and micro factories around the world. We support them financially and offer them our prayers.

This week, as my first project with Illini Life, I’m working with both of these missions. It isn’t even on campus, but a great service to the Kingdom.

Myself and a small team (Matt and Ashley) are driving a truck with a trailer containing a BUV that Illini Life has bought for Casa Hogar Vida. We are driving to Miami where it will be taken to a shipping container that will take it the rest of the way to Honduras.

I’ll try to keep you updated to the events of the trip as we go forward. Much work has gone into planning this journey and your prayers are appreciated.
