Monday Update - Sharing The Ministry
Hey friends,
I wanted to give you a quick insight into my past weekend. I got a chance on Sunday to share with the Christian Church in Assumption, IL about what we do at the U of I. The day started with a drive to Assumption to visit them for their morning worship service. With classic hymns and a sermon on repentance, I was excited to worship with them.
After an afternoon of watching the Women’s World Cup finale (congrats, Japan!), I headed to the church building to share with their missions team. My lovely assistant, Ashley, who came along to support me, was great. She was able to answer questions I didn’t and her smiling face was such an encouragement as I talked about the need for collegians to hear and live in the Gospel.
They were such an encouragement and I’m excited to see how God will help us to partner in the future.
As for this week, I’ll be teaching at our Summer Church worship service on Wednesday at 6:30. As well, I’ll continually be prepping for the Fall with some of our creative work and brainstorming. Finally, this week is a big week for planning and discussing the Home Fellowship I’ll be helping to lead in the Fall.
